Kids' Fishing Derby
The Douglas County Kids' Fishing Derby is a FREE, volunteer run event dedicated to getting kids hooked on fishing and spending time outdoors with their families. We welcome children between the ages of 3 to 12 years old to catch up to 2 rainbow trout during our 2 day long, 7 session event, traditionally held the first weekend in June at Lampe Park. Each child walks away with a special gate prize and additional prizes are awarded for the largest fish caught.
Pre-Registration is required to reserve your session ticket.
Registration will begin in April and continue until the week of the Derby.
*Space is limited along the banks of Willow Creek, so be sure to register early in order to secure your spot in the Derby.*
